Stinking Homeowners Association

September 21st, 2005

I just got home from shopping, but the thing is they’re slurry coating our neighborhood roads. I’ve lived here for 5 years (brand new community) and this is the second time they’re slurry coating. A good slurry coat’s supposed to last up to 10 years, so why are they wasting our money? And on top of that, when I got home, they turned my block into an island surrounded by wet slurry coat. I drove around all sides looking for a way to walk through. At least last time they left an area to walk through. I talked to one of the workers, but he didn’t know what to say. He told me that it wasn’t ok for me to walk on it, because it was still wet. I’m standing there with a bad back and carrying a 25 pound bag of chicken feed along with groceries. I also have my two kids carrying a bag each. I was nice to the guy, because I figured he didn’t make the decisions. He finally helped me find an area that’s not as wet to cross over, but it was quite a walk away from my house with all that stuff. I had to keep steering my kids around wet areas. I’m catching myself going down the road of name calling - dumbasses, stupid-idiots..ok, I’ll stop.
