Sitting Ducks

April 4th, 2006

Ducks
These two ducks have adopted our neighborhood park. Year after year they return in Spring, have their little babies, and then fly off in the Winter. It’s fun to see the line of little chicks hopping off curbs and stuff. I guess this year they’ve taken over the whole road too. A couple weeks ago, I had to wait patiently at this same stop sign as they legally crossed the street. Today, they decided to kick back right in front of my house. I debated whether to drive straight on my way home and see if they’d move, but running over little animals only makes me feel bad, so I weaved around them. Good thing, because they didn’t budge and are still sitting there as I type.

The boys got a kick out of feeding the ducks some bread on our driveway this morning before we left for work and school! I guess they’ll be sticking around.

Awww…those ducks are so cute! Always together like soul mates. Speaking of soul mates, Dan and I are getting very close to marriage! Both our parents will be talking to each other shortly about arrangements, although Dan has not proposed to me yet, but I’m sure it’s in the works. I’ll keep you guys posted!

I say you get a BB gun and shoot them. That’s what I’m gonna do with these Canadian Geese over at my place. I can’t stand them quacking away early in the morning.
